Today, Melissa Yellowega tells us of her life with Lux. Lux had mucopolysaccharidosis VII - a rare genetic lysosomal storage disorder - that caused him to lose the ability to walk and to do most things on his own. In 2022, Lux passed away. We are back with another Advocacy Tale! This time, we are sharing Beth Christman and, her Saint Bernard, Gertrude's story. Gertrude suffered from numerous health problems because of Kathy Jo Bauck's bad breeding practices. Together with others, Beth helped bring justice to not only Gertrude but to other dogs Kathy and her broker, Laughlin Kennel, mistreated. Please give this story a listen! In 2020, an Alabaman vet (allegedly) injured a 21-year-old cat named Mimi. She sustained severe injuries but survived. As of this moment, this case is still not resolved. Do you think Mimi will get her justice?

UPDATE: In May 2022, the 2 misdemeanor charges against Timothy were dropped. He has since closed down his clinic and moved to Ecuador. According to Mimi's parents' lawyer, he has lost his vet license. They are still suing him.

There was a break in between because there were interesting developments taking place, so it was decided that the final episode would be postponed to see what would happen.
